Ribbons

Ribbons

And the thousand dancers dance

The ribbons twist, they twist and they bend

They throw down, then up their glance.

As your heart turns to ribbons.

As your heart dances, longing to be free,

Set from its cage.

But there is no escape.

Your mind has the stage,

And your heart has no place,

As it tears itself to ribbons,

Dancing away-

Turning to glass.
