I’m Too Cold

I’m Too Cold

As the cold seeps in,

As the ice settles thin,

As the birds quiet down,

As not a peep, not a sound.

The winter, it calls

to all the children.

They gallop and play

though it’s a cloudy day,

The snow only lasts a season,

and winter is its name.

Many turn up their coat collars,

though some have none.

For them, winter is a burden.

For them, winter is curse.

While the children go out and play,

there are some who have none.
