Quake

Quake

When sadness quakes

The heart

It doesn’t stop at the heart.

It sends tsunamis to the face

Disguising as saltwater sea.

It truly devastates.

Starves crumbled inner organs

That never had a foundation to begin with.

Throughout the world, gloom reverberates,

But no one quite understands.

Your heart’s been quaked

And your weak knees still shake.

The very thought of loss,

The thought,

You could’ve done more,

Replays and replays.

People pass by

With their perfect lives.

They have no quake.

No quake.

No quake.

They just live,

While you quake.
